No need to be sorry. Little glue did the trick and I haven't had a problem with them sense. The shoes are fairly robust considering the sole constuction problems that I had. At least the leather ones are. That's why I'm kind of iffy on the suede ones.

Don't get me wrong, I fucking love these shoes. The siloute is far from original though. They're a deconstructed moccasin, just like the FTB's are a suped up (or hybrid) moccasin.

I'm with you on the price of the Visvims in general. They're really expensive, but the quality is really unmatched. I've probably got at least 75 pairs of kicks right now, some pretty nice stuff, but none of them can really compete with the comfort of them...but I can totally understand not wanting to spend that much money. Matter of fact, I didn't. I just talked about them enough that my girlfriend got me a pair.

That was one of my concerns with the Akat. But thats what happends when you have an artist and not a shoe designer design a shoe, there will always be some thing overlooked, some issue that the artist will not anticipate. Id say if this is a consistant issue with the Akat you should just dab a little bit of shoe goo on the exposed area to protect and prolong the life of the shoes. Almost extending the sole. Plus I dont think its a HUGE eye sore. Might be worth it. Since I just bought a NDS pair I might be willing to try it out. I'll keep you guys posted.

I just got my Bitter Chocolate Akats. The leather is really nice. I love the color and texture. I don't know which one I like more. Looks like the same leather as my DSNB J Lays.

I ended up at Blends OC yesterday. Saw the new Akats. I really liked the grey. I think they were a little discounted. Too. But had to pass. I already have te Fossils.

Went there too and no weren't discounted with a price for 135$ and none were in my size.

A new Taka X Vans Vault model

Looks like a reverse Sk8-hi, very interesting, I'm sure there will be more colorways, hopefully something darker, but this definitly looks interesting. Takas on a roll!

yeah they came in a white and black colorway also. Taka is killing it these days!
