Yeah, that was the first release I ever noticed it on. Not sure if it was ever on any releases farther back than that, but I laced mine up like that when I got them and it does look a little goofy. haha My Grosso 1's are still DS, actually! One of these days I may have to bust 'em out... They've been sitting around since one of the online Thanksgiving sales like 4 years ago when they were still new...

I've never noticed they had the Santa Cruz branding as well, which is dope, and yeah those 1st Grosso's have the lace protect, but it's on the top 5 lace eyelets.

On my pair it's on the bottom three, for ollie protection I'd assume. I wonder if there was a bad batch since it wouldn't make much sense for the lace protection to be on the top 5?

Blue all the way, man! Those seemed oddly sized up, although I can still wear them ok. Love my Kesslers! Just wish they didn't look so long on me.

Nice! I might have to try black laces in mine, although I really like how the blue sets 'em off. I've got enough b/w shoes for the time being. haha
Just met up with a dude and got the teal disruptive supreme halfcabs and the white disruptive supreme halfcabs. 80 bucks! Not a bad deal. haha First meetup and it was a little weird. Said hey, exchanged money/shoes, departed. Felt like a drug deal or something.

They never made Teal Disruptive Half-Cab, do you mean the green ones?
