Blasphemy! Would you say they should have made the carrolls into skytops?

The Carroll's were/ARE raw by design.......THESE are not.... I'm aware it's supposed to be a retro thus altering the silhouette is irrelevant, but I seriously doubt anyone would even give a second look at these if not for the supreme logo.....And of course when I said "they should have made me midtops" I ment in order to appeal to me...lol

And for the record MCs as a skytop wouldn't look too far off of a pair of caballeros, and I'm fine with that! Lol!

Just joshin'. I've always dug the early 90s vans and airwalks, so these play directly into what I dig. They're not flashy, but that's not really the point.
One of those "those who know, know" situations, only the main difference is that I'm actually in the know, for once.

I had these shoes in Jr. high, I dont think ill be buying them again.

Mackiv, that's weird to me that you wear Vans for the flashy-ness.. Where I live, no one even recognizes my Vans. Always thought that was sort of a Nikehead thing..

I think the only reason this release should catch heat if because of the shape. Supreme insists On using rubber that has NO resemblence to the USA shape. I'm sure by now you're all sick of me ranting about that, but come on, here is where it really hurts the product. That round-ass toe looks dreadful.

I wear J's for the hypebeasts, and vans mostly just for me. But as many of u know, when u have on a pair of flashier vans, or just legendary ones like ANY of the bones u get those compliments from random peoples. Fewer than an expensive pair of nikes, maybe...but when someone notices yur vans its probly cuz theyve NEVER seen that shoe b4, not because theyve had 4 retro releases to get used to em....lol

But back to these shoes: i still feel like there will be room for improvement once i see em on foot, but im not scared to say i might not even remember these...(ex. Supreme authentics(eras?) Checkered that showed up in outlet stores)

Props to Supreme for getting a bit historic, but I'll pass as well. I'm a firm believer in buying only what you like/would wear and these just aren't doing it for me.

Supreme/Vans


The Vans #86 Lampin was originally produced in the USA in 1993, introduced at the time as an updated durable skate shoe.

This Summer, Supreme will be releasing a new version of the Vans Lampin. The Lampin will feature a premium suede nubuck upper with a vulcanized waffle outsole and leather in-sole. The Lampin will be available in four colorways made exclusively for Supreme.

Available in-store in NY, LA, London and online on June 13th.

Available in Japan on June 15th.
