Hehe, I was also a recent convert to the Old Skool after giving them a wear. Now, my Ray Barbee's are my everyday shoe. I think a lot of it has to do with the laces going almost down to your toe. It allows for more flex. I think. Who knows, but they're the most comfortable Vans out there.
