Comfortable, and durable. Outsoles last a really long time.

i burned through about 3 pairs of Rick Howard selects when i skated, great shoes for skating but didn't last me too long

i dislike their vucanized sole, but their cupsole such as MJ 2.... I love them!

Lakai is rad. The shoes are solid skate shoes, the team is sick, and they have some great tee shirt designs.

One of the designers went to U of I and my buddy owns a shop in Champaign. They hooked up and Lakia directly did tons of stuff to help the shop get on it's feet and keep moving.
