Scooped up the remakes of the Max Schaaf Syndicate Eras from 2008 at 510 today. Shoes came with two freebies, a shirt, and a screen printed grease rag with the 4Q and Vans logos. Also saw Jim T. outside the shop while I was there. Pop up shop was cool, but I wasn't able to check out all of the little details that were put into the shop because people were standing in front of the pictures/displays.
I compared the remakes to a pair of the original ones released. The suede around the ankle area isn't as soft and buttery as the originals, but they went back to the OG waffle grip sole without the "S" triangle. Also, the vulcanized wrap is thicker and like that of the classic types Vans (See second picture).

That's good to hear since I'm a 12! And they are closed today so I gotta get up early tomorrow to make the tome change... (I'm in Hawaii)
Also forgot to ask about the Schaafs.. Do they come with the orange box like the OGs and do they have the grips?
