Suprised and dissapointed (mainly because I've tried to sell mine) at how the value of the satin Proper Sk8 Highs have fallen off. I don't remember paying much more than a bill for them shipped, but I remember they were a hot item and I still really like them - my style has kind of migrated to more subtle and plain color palets...which does not include purple satin shoes.

I think they would've held their value, if HUF never released their version of it. It was definitely unique, and ahead of the curve, as far as materials on Vans go. Proper is always super unique with their collaborations. I wonder why they've been under the radar for so long now? I hope things are still going well for them. They are like the odd man out in the industry. They don't "appear" to be buddy buddy with any of the other shops, like how UNDFTD, Supreme, HUF, Bodega, DQM, etc. are all good friends with each other. Kinda like the Black Sheep, but they have the best collaborations around...at least for Vans.

I was always surprised people liked satin shoes in general... I had some satin Vault chukkas that I ordered not realizing that they were satin, and when I tried selling them, I think they went for like $15... haha
